Sunday Markets

Our Sunday Markets are changing!

As many of you will have noticed, the participation in the Lions Markets at the John Street car park has been declining for some time now.  The Lions Club of Warners Bay has been operating these markets for over 20 years and we have come to the inescapable conclusion that they are in need of rejuvenation.  As such, the Markets will close on Sunday, 13 July.

We want to pass along our appreciation for the support, loyalty and commitment shown by you and our stallholders over many years and we trust you understand the need to reposition our markets for the future.  To that end, we have begun working with the local Chamber of Commerce and our City Council to create a vibrant and attractive Market to meet the needs of our evolving community.  We cannot do this on our own and look forward to any suggestions you may have.  Simply forward them to our Market Manager’s email address (WBLionsMktMgr@gmail.com) or to their attention at our mail address located at the top of this letter.  Please be assured that we are working as quickly as possible to develop and implement our new vision.  We will keep you updated on the developments of the project via this web page.

Again, a huge thank you to you and all of our stallholders. Your support has enabled the Lions Club of Warners Bay to assist many less fortunate in our community through our various service projects. To date we estimate that contribution to be well in excess of $400,000.  We sincerely hope you will participate in and continue to support the revitalised markets when they are reborn.

Should you require any further information at this stage, please do not hesitate to contact Tony Yen (our Market Committee Chair and 2nd Vice President) at 0439 492 744.

Kind Regards,
