Swansea Charity Drift Dive
The 2019 Drift-a-duck event will be jointly run by the Brisbane Water Aqualung Club (BWAC) and the Warners Bay Lions Club. Both are Not-for-Profit fund-raising organisations. The drift dive will be run under PADI standards.
BWAC is one of the oldest active dive clubs in Australia, having been formed in 1959. BWAC owns its own boat and heads out to dive sites between Newcastle and Sydney most weekends. Every diver will become a member of BWAC for one day and we would welcome anyone to join as a full member.
The Lions Club of Warners Bay has a proud history of achievement in Disaster and Emergency Relief, Medical Research and Community Service. We were at the coalface for the Dungog floods and today its drought relief for the Hunter farmers. We’ve built driveways for the injured, set-up play areas for those suffering from autism, cleaned out yards and garages for those who lost a loved one. All this with funds raised from the community of Lake Macquarie.
This time the Charity Drift Drive is supporting the Lions Club of Warners Bay.
